Possibilities: Madam Vice President
Abstract
This essay explores the application of the concepts developed in the Chair of Public Opinion and Electoral Studies of the political science career during the 2020 school year that was carried out virtually, in a context of pedagogical exceptionality due to the Covid pandemic -19.
It addresses the last stretch of the United States electoral campaign, focusing on the peculiarity that for the first time a woman was a candidate for the vice presidency, presenting some ideas and questions in this regard.
Reference is also made to the influence of ideologies and the way in which they are put into play through the speeches of the main Democratic and Republican candidates for the White House.
Reference is made to publicly known speeches and facts, so in an effort to avoid unnecessary erudition, some sources are omitted.
Finally, it incorporates a theoretical reflection of a classical thinker about the role of videopolitics and without neglecting the theoretical exposition of some key concepts.
A simple style of writing was chosen that is allowed to approach the American style through the use of short paragraphs.
